Most of my books contain some essence of the people in my life, the experiences in my life, and the dreams in my life. My husband says I write like I live my life: in exclamation points and hugs!

I hope in each book to make people happy. To make them think, make them enjoy, make them laugh, and once in a while, make them cry a tear or two and then smile again.

I thought it wise to write what caused me to write, and some of the lessons I have learned over the years.

If you decide to write (and you should!), but struggle with what to write about, it can be helpful to write notes to yourself on why you want to write. Read Stephen King’s book On Writing. It’s the best resource on the topic even if, like me, you don’t read his books. Those frightening episodes stay with me way too long! And don’t expect to make money; write because you want to, not because you have to. If you do make money, well, how truly wonderful your words are!
